A cruise through the fjords of Musandam, an Omani peninsula on the northern tip of the UAE. The area, which meets the Strait of Hormuz, used to be a communications hub for the region and is still a popular trade route. Dolphins still greet visitors on the traditional Arabian-style dhows.

I was in South Africa in December last year for a flying visit. With the countdown for the Fifa World Cup well underway, I decided to dig out some of the many photos that were taken in a five-day visit to the Rainbow Nation.
